Machakos University

Machakos University, formerly known as Machakos University College, is a public university located in Machakos County, Kenya. It was established in 1957 as Machakos Technical Institute and has since undergone several transformations.

In 2007, Machakos Technical Institute was upgraded to a constituent college of Kenyatta University, known as Machakos University College. Later, in 2016, it was chartered as a fully-fledged public university and renamed Machakos University.

The university offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various fields of study. These include disciplines such as business, engineering, agriculture, education, social sciences, health sciences, and information technology.
